Dear TWS community,

As the race draws closer, we are finalizing all the logistics for the TWS.  We have some key positions that need to be filled.  If you aren’t racing this year, we could use the help!  It takes about 95 volunteers spread out over 6 days to make the race happen.  With 192 entries in the race this year it will take a strong TWS officials’ team to keep the race running smoothly.

Please email ALLEN.SPELCE@GMAIL.COM if you can assist.

Thanks!

TWS Board of Directors

Please see below for available positions.

Hocheim Cleanup

The checkpoint official at Hocheim is requesting help to prep checkpoint for TWS on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday May 31.  Joe needs help mowing, stick removal, weeding, etc.  Please contact Joe Hunt directly at 214 263-3870.

Race Check In – Thursday June 11

We need 6 to 8 volunteers to help check in boats and assist with parking from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Swinging Bridge (Invista)

A checkpoint official(s) is needed here. This may be one of the best checkpoints.  The site has air-conditioned porta potties, lighting, and is mowed by Invista.  Since the checkpoint is open a long time, it usually takes two teams working in shifts.  The night shifts and Sunday day shift is covered but we need to 2 to 3 volunteers to run relief from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday, June 15.

Swan Point (Finish Line)

We need 2 people or more to cover the night shift Monday/Tuesday 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.  The volunteers will be responsible for logging finish time on the official board and iPad.  The officials will also watch for flares in the bay.
