1) Boat drop off at Meadows Center:  There will be very limited parking at the Meadows Center.  We encourage all teams to use the designated boat drop-off zones (they will be marked and parking attendants will be present) and drop off your boat and gear, then take your vehicle to the off-site parking and take a shuttle back.  Please unload your boats and gear quickly, as there will be many teams trying to unload at the same time.

2) Race day put in instructions for Spring Lake: With a record number of boats entered this year, it is imperative that all teams put in to Spring Lake early.  THE RACE WILL START PROMPTLY AT 9:00 A.M. EVEN IF THERE ARE BOATS THAT HAVE NOT PUT IN YET. To assist with getting all teams on the water on time, we have secured permission to put in starting at 7:30 a.m. Also, there are a limited number of put in access points.  The Meadows Center and Texas State University have strict policies about access points to Spring Lake.  DO NOT put in anywhere other than the approved access points. Violation of restricted areas marked by either caution tape or buoys WILL result in a major penalty of 12 hours up to and including disqualification. Additional information about put in locations will be provided before and during check-in.

3) There will be dumpsters for TWS use at the Gonzales, Cuero 236 and Colville Park (Wooden Bridge) checkpoints.  Please be responsible and DO NOT LITTER and do not use private trash receptacles. Please pack out all of your trash until you can find an appropriate place to dump it. Remember, littering is explicitly against TWS rules:  “Deliberate littering of the river is grounds for disqualification. Teams should keep their trash in their canoe and hand it over to persons on the bank.”
